Tom and Carmen get lost in discussion about the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of the 2015 season. They talk about the drama of the Australian Grand Prix and look beyond Melbourne and share their predictions about the rest of the season. They cover the Mercedes domination and the upward galloping Prancing Horse, the Sauber/Giedo van der Garde trials, the future of Manor, and the possibility of Honda to bring success for the revamped McLaren team.

Later, the two share their thoughts on the Ferrari Sergio and the 6th generation Chevrolet Camaro. Finally, the two petrolholics discuss the Jeremy Clarkson controversy and the future of Top Gear.

Tom and Carmen discuss Fernando Alonso’s crash in Barcelona, which turned out to be much more serious then speculated. Some good news is revealed about Marussia even after going into administration. They touch base on the recently announced Hellcat recall and shady practices from Dodge dealers. Tom shares new details about for the upcoming sports series from McLaren and shares his opinion on the new Audi R8 with great depth.  Carmen explains the long awaited Fiat-Mazda project and shares it’s official name. Ford posts a witty advertisement in Geneva and their new GT gets a price tag.

Tom and Carmen then cover the major reveals from the Geneva Motor show which includes the wild Lamborghini Aventador SV, sophisticated Bentley EXP10 Speed 6 concept, and last but not least the radical and elegant  Koenigsegg Regera. The Regera’s powertrain, specifications, and direct drive system is explained thoroughly. Tom and Carmen also express their excitement for a planned Koenigsegg Chicago opening.

When Ferrari first announced that they were going public back on October 29th, 2014, there seemed to be a bit of backlash throughout comment sections on various websites. Many were claiming that going public would be the kiss of death for Ferrari. However, I found these claims and fears to be misguided, maybe the commentors were just being reactionary, or maybe they truly didn’t understand how this process works. Williams Racing – Engineer of the Future Award

Williams, along with Haymarket Specialist Media/AUTOSPORT, developed a new award program that champions engineering students with a passion for motorsport. The award, called the “Engineer of the Future Award,” selects the strongest and most passionate candidate from a select handful of the most prestigious engineering universities in the UK. Even though the title of “engineer of the future” would be enough, the award is much more than just a piece of paper and a title.

Current Developments of the 2015 Driver Lineups

With the FIA Formula One World Championship nearing the end of the season, there are plenty of  headlines about the sport filling news websites around the world. There are discussions about the futures of both Caterham and Marussia, the future of independent teams in the sport, and complaints about how this season’s champion may be decided by the new double points rule in Abu Dhabi.
