This rivals the long-held belief that such stickers increase performance through increasing the bhp of the car’s engine; instead, the RICER scientists claim that there is a fundamental change in the drag of a car once a sticker is applied. We asked for clarification from Dr. Boye Holmes, director of RICER, on this process. Continue reading Scientists Discover that Stickers may Help Reduce Drag

The way a petrolholic buys a used car

After getting tired of his Lexus, my cousin Joe decided he would buy his “within reach” dream car, an Audi A6. He searched through offers and ads for used A6s and eventually found one that was significantly a better offer than the rest. The A6 at this Las Vegas dealership was cheaper than most of the other options he found, and this one even had some sport upgrades; because of this, Joe knew that this was the car for him. The only problem was getting to the dealership, which was only about 1750 miles away. Continue reading The way a petrolholic buys a used car

The 2015 Fiat-Abarth roadster and the Alfa Romeo Spider

In the spring of 2012, Mazda and Alfa Romeo announced their plans at a partnership with a rear-wheel-drive roadster that was to be based off of Mazda’s MX-5. Even though the title of “engineer of the future” would be enough, the award is much more than just a piece of paper and a title.
