After months of speculation, Ferrari has finally announced their La Ferrari based track weapon . Say hello to the 1035 Horsepower FXX K. If you thought the Enzo based FXX was insane, prepare for your mind to be blown.

Despite the rumors of Ferrari using a V6, the V12 is here to stay. The wizards of Maranello have managed to squeeze an extra 71 horsepower from the 6.3L V12 and an additional 26 horsepower from the sophisticated HY-KERs system. The HY-KERS system will feature four different modes: Qualify (maximum performance); Long run; Manual Boost (instant maximum torque); Fast Charge (quick regeneration of batteries).

The Aero of the FXX K is simply astounding. A massive carbon fiber front splitter is bolted to the front and innovative split twin rear wings sit on the car’s rear. Ferrari has stated that the FXX K produces 1,190.5 pounds of downforce at 124 MPH. It’s safe to say that the FXX K will be well planted with its overwhelming amount of downforce and Pirelli racing slicks. In fact, Ferrari has incorporated sensors in the slicks that measure various fields of data. These sensors communicate with the car’s F1 style traction control system for optimal performance.

Ferrari has made no compromise when designing the FXX K. Every ounce of performance has been squeezed out of the Italian hyper-hybrid. The exhaust silencers have been removed, allowing for the V12 orchestra to scream freely. The FXX K will not be used in any sort of competition. Ferrari explains that allowing the FXX K to participate in competition would limit the technological masterpiece’s potential due to strict regulations and requirements.

The FXX K will be only available to the chosen group of client test drivers. This exclusive group of Ferrari customers will probably pay over $2 million to experience the groundbreaking performance the FXX K offers. Ferrari will most likely produce no more than 30 FXX Ks. The FXX K showcases Ferrari’s staggering hybrid and aerodynamic technology, but will it give McLaren’s P1 GTR a run for its money?
